presentation
of the event
Innovation and new technologies now play a central role throughout the entire music value chain, from creation to distribution. In France, this momentum has led to the development of a true hub of competitiveness, supported by a high-performing ecosystem that brings together projects, start-ups, researchers, and industry experts. This stimulating environment fosters the emergence of new solutions at the intersection of artistic, scientific, and technological disciplines.
It is within this context that the Innovation & Tech Day takes place — a flagship event of France Music Week. This day offers a unique opportunity to bring together the world of music innovation, highlight French expertise, and showcase meaningful initiatives. It also creates space for collective reflection around sustainable and virtuous growth models that align with the contemporary challenges facing the cultural sector.
By promoting cross-sector dialogue — between industries, creators, entrepreneurs, and researchers — the Innovation & Tech Day acts as a catalyst for ambitious projects, while reinforcing France’s position as a land of innovation in service of music and creation. A forward-looking vision that blends technology, culture, and responsibility.
AGENDA:
The morning will feature the presentation of the latest study by the Centre national de la musique (CNM), which outlines the current state and future prospects for the deployment of artificial intelligence in the music industry and its impact on various professions. The 4th Music Innovation Award by the Centre national de la musique (CNM) will also be given to the most promising innovative French projects in the field. A lounge area will facilitate networking throughout the day, while speed meetings will offer startups the opportunity to present their projects to over fifteen investors.
The conference and roundtable discussion program will reveal a music industry in the midst of a full transformation, where innovation is a driving force for creation, performance, and economic development. Topics will include immersive music, sound branding, enhanced A&R, discoverability via AI, as well as data sovereignty and copyright challenges in the age of artificial intelligence.
To contribute to these discussions and help shape the future, many leading industry players have confirmed their participation: Deezer, Live Nation, Miraval Studios, Music Tech Europe, Start Rec, Sacem, Yotanka, Warner Music France, and many others.
In addition to the conferences and roundtable discussions, seven experiential demonstrations showcasing innovative and sustainable initiatives for the music sector will set the tempo for the day’s program. From spatial audio to voice synthesis, augmented instruments to music visualization tools and high-quality streaming to cutting-edge sound transformation software, these immersive workshops will offer a hands-on invitation to explore the possibilities of augmented creativity.
